Majority of clients feel ‘positive’ about services received from Barristers, study reveals

New research published in recent days has revealed that the majority of Barristers’ clients are highly satisfied with the services they have received – and that 64 per cent would consider using a Barrister again.

The findings come from a new survey carried out by the Bar Standards Board (BSB) – which has been described as the most in-depth Barristers’ client survey ever carried out and published.

The research, which focused solely on family law, found that almost one third of all legal clients embroiled in family-related disputes had used the services of a Barrister as opposed to those of a solicitor.

Of the 1,200 family law clients quizzed, the vast majority of those that had used a Barrister said they felt ‘positive’ about the service they had received.

It also found that the majority of respondents would definitely consider using a Barrister again if faced with further legal issues in the near future.

59 per cent of those quizzed told the BSB that they would consider using a Barrister for family law advice, while 64 per cent said that they would consider using a Barrister for other kinds of legal advice or support.

69 per cent of respondents added that they were aware Barristers can be accessed directly without the need for a solicitor.
